Volunteer
MPP needs volunteers to help with tutoring, mentoring, transportation, and other activities. In addition to working directly with your kids, you can volunteer to help organize events or help with administrative work.
Our computer-assisted group reading and math sessions are held weekly at the MPP office in Baltimore. You can start tutoring in these group sessions to learn if tutoring or mentoring on a longer term basis works for you.
Project Northstar, our tutoring and mentoring program in Washington, was relaunched at the Josephine Butler Parks Center at Euclid and 15th St. NW with 25 students and tutor-mentors in early Nov. 2009. And we are still searching for more tutor-mentors and other volunteers to help with coordination.
